2025 AFC Predictions

AFC East

  1. Buffalo Bills (1 Seed)
  2. New England Patriots
  3. New York Jets
  4. Miami Dolphins

The Bills should continue to dominate the AFC East. They have one of the best QBs in the league and are so much better than every team in the division. Their schedule also is particularly easy this year. As a Pats fan I will say the Patriots are being overrated. I think they will take massive strides but are still a year away way from making the postseason. The Jets have talent but seem to be lost as a franchise. Someone may need to give them a map because they’ve been lost for almost 60 years. If Justin Fields plays well they shouldn’t be too terrible, if he doesn’t then yikes. The Dolphins have some offensive talent but they look like a team that might implode. It seems like Mike McDaniels is not that respected by his players and that there is a lot of inner turmoil. If things go wrong, people may get fired and the team may have to completely rebuild.

AFC North

  1. Baltimore Ravens (3 Seed)
  2. Cincinnati Bengals (6 Seed)
  3. Pittsburgh Steelers
  4. Cleveland Browns

This is a solid division all around. The Ravens have one of the best rosters in the NFL and are prime contenders. The Bengals have their share of problems defensively and off the field, but their offense is just too good to miss the playoffs back to back years if they are healthy. The Steelers continue to be stuck in No Man’s Land. They will probably just miss out on the playoffs. The Browns just suck. They have no direction and will be in contention for the number 1 pick.

AFC South

  1. Houston Texans (4 Seed)
  2. Jacksonville Jaguars
  3. Indianapolis Colts
  4. Tennessee Titans

A poor division outside of the Texans who should pretty easily win it. The Jags have some talent but this franchise always seems to disappoint. The Colts are not in a good place right now. The Titans have potential but are at ground zero of a full on rebuild.

AFC West

  1. Kansas City Chiefs (2 Seed)
  2. Denver Broncos (5 seed)
  3. Los Angeles Chargers (7 Seed)
  4. Las Vegas Raiders

The Chiefs are a dynasty and I will pick them to win the division until another teams proves me wrong. The Broncos have great coach, solid QB on a rookie deal, and great defense. They should be able to get the 5 seed. Chargers are dealing with injuries but have the coaching and talent to make the playoffs. The Raider will be solid, but can’t contend in this division.

AFC Playoffs

Wild Card Round

  • 1 BUF: Bye
  • 2 KC vs 7 LAC: 2 KC wins
  • 3 BAL vs 6 CIN: 3 BAL wins
  • 4 HOU vs 5 DEN: 5 DEN wins

Divisional Round

  • 1 BUF vs 5 DEN: 1 BUF wins
  • 2 KC vs 3 BAL: 2 KC wins

AFC Championship Game

  • 1 BUF vs 2 KC: 1 BUF wins AFC

Final AFC Thoughts:

The AFC is loaded with potential Hall of Fame QBs. I think one of them – Josh Allen- finally leads his team past Kansas City into the Super Bowl. The Chiefs cannot dominate forever and I believe Buffalo’s time is now.

NFL Week 10 Reaction

Cincinatti Bengals (4-6) @ Baltimore Ravens (7-3)

Everything we wanted this game to be and more. How lucky are we that Lamar and Burrow both play in the same division? In two games vs each other this year, they have combined to throw SEVENTEEN touchdown passes and both games have been electric. The Bengals might be the best 4-6 team I have ever seen.

New England Patriots (3-7) @ Chicago Bears (4-5)

Great defense from the Patriots and terrible offense from the Bears led to a lopsided game.

Drake Maye outplayed Caleb Williams, which is great for a Pats fan to see.

Matt Eberflus’s seat is extremely hot and he’s gonna hear the calls for his job unless they turn it around.

I gotta give the Pats credit. Since Mayo called them out, they have won 2 games and almost won a third game. The defense stepped up today and had their best game with 9 sacks.

San Francisco 49ers (5-4) @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-6)

Brock Purdy and the Niners showed a lot of grit and poise with a comeback win. They are a sleeping giant if they can just get healthy.

Philadelphia Eagles (7-2) @ Dallas Cowboys (3-6)

This game was not a surprise. Jalen Hurts is now on pace for over 40 total TDs this year.

The Cowboys have some reflecting to do. Namely, will they keep Mike McCarthy for the rest of the year?

Detroit Lions (8-1) @ Houston Texans (6-4)

The fact that Jared Goff threw for 5 INTs and the Lions were still able to come from behind and beat a good team while on the road is beyond impressive.

The Texans have been reeling and need to get it together for the 2nd half of the season. They are dealing with injuries but need to rely on their depth and talent.

A bright spot was WR John Metchie III had 5 catches for 74 yards and a TD. He has dealt with a ton of adversity in his career so it’s great to see him play well. He is so talented and if he continues to get opportunities, he can help this team win games.

NFL Week 10 Predictions

New England Patriots (2-7) @ Chicago Bears (4-4)

The Bears have struggled lately, but played well against bad teams. The Patriots are a bad team. I think the Bears win, the Bears cover (-6), and the over (38.5) hits.

San Francisco 49ers (4-4) @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-5)

Both teams badly need this to keep their season’s alive. I think the Niners win, cover (-6.5), and the under (50.5) hits.

Philadelphia Eagles (6-2) @ Dallas Cowboys (3-5)

The Cowboys received the awful news that Dak is done for the year. Their weekend probably won’t get better as the Eagles should win, cover (-7), and the under (43.5) hits.

Detroit Lions (7-1) @ Houston Texans (6-3)

Nico Collins could come back to give the Texans a much needed jolt at wide receiver. I still think the Lions win, cover (-3.5), and the over (49.5) hits.

NFL Week 10 TNF Predictions

Cincinatti Bengals (4-5) @ Baltimore Ravens (6-3)

The last time these teams met, the game was electric and this one should be no different. The Bengals need this game, but I think the Ravens win, the Bengals cover (+6), and the over (52.5) hits.

Top 10 QBs

Below are our top 10 QBs in the NFL. I am not solely basing it off this year, but instead the last couple of years plus how I think they’ll perform moving forward.

1. Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs

The gap between him and everyone else is not a big as it was entering this year. But, if you had to pick one guy, you’re picking Mahomes.

2. Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens

He’s one of the most gifted players in NFL history and he’s playing as well as he ever has.

3. Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills

He quietly is having his best season ever. The knock on him has always been his turnovers. This year he has 20 TDs and just 4 TOs.

4. Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals

Despite his teams record, he is putting up great numbers with 20 TDs to just 4 INTs.

5. Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers

Injuries have limited him, but he still is playing great football for the new look Chargers.

6. Jared Goff, Detroit Lions

This guy simply balls out under the radar. The Lions might be the best team in football and he is a big reason why. He’s completing 74.9% of his passes and has 17 incompletions and 11 TDs his past 5 games.

7. CJ Stroud, Houston Texans

In just his 2nd year, he is already a franchise QB. He can lead this team on a great postseason run.

8. Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles

Hurts is supremely talented and I’m a big believer in what he can do in the air and on the ground.

9. Baker Mayfield, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Baker loves to prove people wrong and he’s doing that with the Bucs. He’s a little bit of a gunslinger, but’s its works out more than it doesn’t.

10. Kirk Cousins, Atlanta Falcons

He continues to be an underrated player and is still balling out at age 36.

NFL Power Rankings

1. Detroit Lions (7-1)

2. Kansas City Chiefs (8-0)

3. Baltimore Ravens (6-3)

4. Buffalo Bills (7-2)

5. Washington Commanders (7-2)

6. Houston Texans (6-3)

7. Philadelphia Eagles (6-2)

8. Minnesota Vikings (6-2)

9. Green Bay Packers (6-3)

10. San Francisco 49ers (4-4)

NFL Week 9 Reaction

New England Patriots (2-7) @ Tennessee Titans (2-6)

Another game the Pats could have won that they let slip away.

Maye had such an up and down game. Starting with the bad, he had 2 really bad interceptions, a third pass that should have been picked off, and a costly. fumble. He also is still not doing a good job sliding, risking further injury.

On the good side, he once again was great at moving in the pocket and scrambling (96 yards rushing). He was accurate and led the Pats on a great end of game drive to tie the game. That play at the end of regulation showed off his skills- he scrambled around in the pocket and made a great throw under pressure.

The offensive line and rush game continued to struggle and we had too many penalties.

Our defense once again did not play very well and gave up almost 400 yards to one of the worst offenses in the league. One silver lining is they toughened up in the red zone.

Marcus Jones continues to be the best punt returner in the league. The Pats should unleash him on offense like Belichick used to.

Detroit Lions (7-1) @ Green Bay Packers (6-3)

The Lions are dynamic all over. Dan Campbell’s aggression just works so well with the roster he has. This team continues to roll and look great doing it.

Jordan Love’s injury hampered him a lot. That plus his gunslinger mentality led to some bad plays including that last second pick 6 at the end of the first half. The bad weather also seemed to hurt the Packers more than the Lions.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-4) @ Kansas City Chiefs (8-0)

This turned into an entertaining, high-scoring game. The Bucs put up a ton of fight and almost upset the Chiefs. In typical Chief’s fashion, they found a way to win like they always do.

It’s reassuring for the Chiefs to see a high octane offense return and have Kelce, Hopkins, Mahomes, and Hunt all play well. One area if conern is how serious Mahomes’ knee injury is.

The Bucs fall to 4-5, but are much better than their record says.
