NFL Week 7 Picks

New England Patriots at Tennessee Titans

It has been an odd week for the Titans with their coach being fired. Vrabel will take this game especially serious. I think the Pats win and cover (-7).

Philadelphia Eagles at Minnesota Vikings

I think the Eagles bounce back and win and cover (-1.5).

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Detroit Lions

Both teams are dealing with a brutal amount of injuries. I think the Buccaneers win and cover (+6).

New England Patriots at New Orleans Saints

☀️: The Good

The Pats made big plays to win the game when they had to.

Maye played great again. This time Boutte stepped up as our main wide receiver. It was also great to see Pop Douglas get involved.

⛈️: The Bad

We could not run the ball at all.

Spencer Rattler looked good and diced us up more than you would have liked to see.

This was the worst reffed game I have seen in some time. It looked like the refs had money on the Saints. Terrible calls were made against both teams, but the Pats especially got some awful calls against them. The Pats won, but the NFL needs to review some of those calls and make sure those refs are actually competent enough to ref in the NFL.

Detroit Lions at Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs bounce back in a big way to help keep their playoff hopes alive. The Lions will be fine. They had to play Mahomes with a completely banged up secondary.

New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills

☀️: The Good

“We are baaaaaaaaaaaack” – Stu Price

My goodness that felt great. Having a legitimate coach, QB, and star WR in Diggs that can go out and beat the best team in the league is just massive and feels amazing.

Drake Maye, what more can we say? This kid is so good. That game winning drive was insane. His throw to Diggs on the game winning drive was one of the best I have ever seen. And it comes in his first career game winning drive on the road against Josh Allen and the undefeated Bills. That’s a career highlight right there.

His stat line in the 2nd half: 13/14 for 184 yards (6/6 for 90 yards in the 4th quarter).

Diggs absolutely balled out and looks like he is back to his old self.

The defense absolutely balled out to get us this win, great job by them. We limited Allen and Cook as much as it is possible to do so. And also forced three turnovers.

Marcus Jones is a playmaker all over the field. We need to get him the ball on offense a couple times a game too.

Andres Borregales had huge game, including his clutch kick. Gotta be happy for him.

I am not going to overreact and act like the Pats are a contender or the best team in the division. They are not and have a long way to go. This game just shows us the future and present are both bright.

⛈️: The Bad

The penalties. We almost gave this game away with stupid penalties.

The fumbles. Stevenson and Gibson need to hold onto the ball.

Speaking of Gibson, we will miss him for the remainder of the year. Hoping he makes a speedy recovery.

We need to take better advantage of the other team’s turnovers.

How much time do you have?

This was the best game the Pats have played since the Brady era. Everything went well in all facets of the game.

There is one guy I absolutely have to shoutout. Marcus Jones had the best game I have ever seen by a punt returner. He was our best player and even though Fox did not give him their player of the game, I will officially announce Marcus Jones as the first ever Wheelhouse Sports Player of the Game (WSPOG).

I could go on and on and on. But I won’t for your sake.

Philadelphia Eagles at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Eagles continue to play fantastic all around football. They simply do whatever is needed to win games. Tampa is a great team too. I could see this being the NFC Championship game.

Baltimore Ravens at Kansas City Chiefs

This game could not have been more perfect for the Chiefs and more terrible for the Ravens. The Chiefs found their offense in a big way and the league should be on notice. Xavier Worthy returning was huge for them and Rashee Rice will be back soon.

The Ravens are falling apart at the seams. They have a great roster but injuries are piling up and threatening their season. Lamar now sustained an injury. We don’t yet know how long it’ll be for, but if it’s even a medium chunk of time, they are screwed.

Lamar Jackson now falls to 1-6 vs Patrick Mahomes. That along with his 3-4 record against Josh Allen makes Lamar 4-7 in the regular season and 0-3 in the playoffs vs the other two best QBs of his era. His regular season and playoff record against all other QBs is 67-20 and 3-2, respectively. He is 6-1 vs Joe Burrow all time, but needs to start beating the Chiefs and Bills.

One last thing with the Ravens. I do not understand how they are handling Derrick Henry’s usage. He’s one of the best backs in the league and him plus Lamar is the best backfield in the league and an absolute weapon. He’s struggled with fumbles, but they need to feed him or else they won’t regain their form.
