Divisional Round Reaction

Los Angeles Rams @ Philadelphia Eagles

The Rams could not handle the bad winter weather. Once the snow started coming and sticking, they couldn’t hold onto the ball or protect Stafford. They started to get it together at the end, but it was too little too late.

The Eagles also struggled with weather and lucked out by recovering two of their own fumbles. But they still handled it better than the Rams.

I cannot remember the last time I saw a running back carry their team as far in the postseason as Saquon has. He is having the best season I’ve ever seen by a running back.

Baltimore Ravens @ Buffalo Bills

A fantastic game that lived up to the billing. Lamar played pretty well, especially late in the game. You have to feel for Mark Andrews. He’s been a great player for them for a long time and now is taking a lot of heat for the loss.

Allen was solid and did enough to win. Next week will be a great matchup.

Game/Betting Pick Results

Game: 2-0 (48-21 This Season) (86-37 All-Time)

Spread: 1-0-1 (43-22-4) (82-36-5)

O/U: 1-1 (34-35) (63-59-1)

Divisional Round Predictions

Los Angeles Rams @ Philadelphia Eagles

I think the Eagles win, the Rams cover (+6), and the over (43.5) hits.

*Note: on the Pod from Tuesday, I said the Rams would win, but I’m changing it after seeing what the weather is supposed to be in Philly.

Baltimore Ravens @ Buffalo Bills

I think Buffalo wins, covers (+1.5), and the under (51.5) hits.

Wild Card Reactions

Green Bay Packers @ Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles played well and won the game. I still don’t think they can take down the Lions, but they won’t have to worry about that for now.

Minnesota Vikings @ Los Angeles Rams

The Rams utterly dominate the Vikings. They are a sneaky team coming out of the NFC.

NFL Week 18 Reaction

Cincinnati Bengals (9-8) @ Pittsburgh Steelers (10-7)

The Steelers offense looked terrible today and they have struggled the past 4 weeks. The Bengals are more than good enough to be in the playoffs and make a splash, so hopefully they end up getting there.

Buffalo Bills (13-4) @ New England Patriots (4-13)

*Sigh*

I was at the game this week and despite most Patriots fans rooting for the Bills, the Pats manage to pull out the win and now have the 4th puck instead of the 1st. Overall, it is not the biggest deal, as the Pats would have traded out anyway. It just would’ve been nice to get more picks then we would get for trading back from the 4th pick.

In shocking news, Mayo was fired right after the game. The fact that he was fired immediately shows they probably made up their mind a couple weeks ago. While I don’t think Mayo did a good job this year and he does not seem like a good coach, he also was dealt a tough hand. He replaced the greatest coach ever and took over a team that probably had the worst talent in the league. Looking forward, hopefully we get Mike Vrabel or Ben Johnson.

For the game, Joe Milton looked great. I wonder if we could get some value for him in the trade market now. Worst case, we just have a solid backup QB.

Minnesota Vikings (14-3) @ Detroit Lions (15-2)

If the Lions play like this all playoffs, they should win the Super Bowl.

NFL Coach Firing Predictions

Black Monday is approaching. In addition to the three head coaches who have been fired, here are my predictions on the other non-interim coaches I think will be canned.

Doug Pederson – Jaguars

He and this team vastly underperformed. They have a lot of talent, but find themselves towards the bottom of the league. I think they look for new coach and fresh start.

Mike McCarthy – Cowboys

They have disappointed in the postseason the past couple seasons and this year was a big let down. They have played with a lot of fight to end the year, but I think they go their separate ways.

Brian Daboll – Giants

The Giants have moved off Daniel Jones and now probably want a fresh start. I don’t know if there is an available coach better than Daboll, but I think the Giants will move on.
